Recently, coffee prices have surpassed an all-time high, now exceeding $4 per pound—a defining moment for the industry. This isn’t just a temporary spike; prices are expected to continue rising, and it is unlikely they will return to previous levels for the foreseeable future. The combination of climate change, increasing production costs, supply chain disruptions, and economic pressures is driving a long-term shift in global coffee markets.

Adding to these challenges, we are also seeing low availability of many coffees from Central America, a key growing region for specialty coffee. Extreme weather conditions, disease outbreaks such as leaf rust, and logistical challenges have significantly reduced supply. This is causing further disruption across the industry and adding additional pressure to sourcing and pricing.
